Our policies

  • For an installation, a deposit of 30% of the total amount, after taxes, is requested at the time of the booking, payable by credit card, by check or cash, at the head office located at 2174 Boulevard Marie-Victorin, suite 202 , Longueuil, J4G 1A9.
  • For an installation, the balance must be paid in full by check to the team leader responsible for the work, or by Interac transfer to info@gazonarabais.com, and this, the day on which the job is executed, before the team leaves the field. .
  • For a delivery, the entire amount is payable before placing the order. It is payable by credit card or Interac transfer to info@gazonarabais.com and by check or in cash, at the head office located at 2174 Boulevard Marie-Victorin, suite 202, Longueuil, J4G 1A9.
  • For any delivery of grass, an amount of 10$ per wooden pallet is billed when ordering. This is refundable if the customer returns the pallets at one of the partner point of service. You will find the addresses of these point of service on our website at https://www.gazonarabais.com/en/pallet-return. To obtain a refund, the customer must complete a short form available at the same URL address. Wooden pallets are reimbursed once a month by credit card (if used initially) or by Interac transfer at the end of the month on business days. The customer has a period of 6 months, from the date of delivery, to return the pallets..
  • If the customer decides to cancel the installation contract, Gazonarabais.com retains the 30% deposit previously received.
  • Any cancellation of a delivery contract by the customer must be made within a minimum of 48 working hours before the scheduled delivery date. A refund of 70% of the total amount of the invoice is then provided. Within 48 hours notice, no refund will be granted.
  • In the case of an installation, the customer must ensure that the terrain is ready and meets the prerequisites for installation. You will find these conditions below as well as on our website at https://www.gazonarabais.com/en/pre-installation. If the terrain is not ready as mentioned in the conditions, a fee of $ 150 to $ 300 applies according to the working time of our team. These fees will be added to the invoice and payable at the same time as the final payment.
    • The grass is cut to the lowest possible level
    • There is no excrement on the ground
    • There are no objects on the floor (toy, rake, branches, trampoline, etc.)
    • Rocks and pieces of pavement are removed (all sizes combined)
    • No vehicles are in the parking lot
    • If possible, no vehicle is in front of the house
  • If the payment from customer is missing or incomplete, a 3% fee applies per month of delay on the amount remaining to be paid, starting the day following the work. This percentage is applicable in proportion to the days of delay.
  • A notice of 48 working hours is required for any postponement of work by the client. Within 48 working hours notice, a fee of 50$ will be required.
  • Our grass is covered by a 1 year supplier's warranty from the date of delivery. For any questions regarding the supplier's warranty, refer to this one.
  • The installation service is covered by a 1-year warranty after the date of installation in the event that the customer fully complies with the conditions of application of the guarantee presented below:
    • The installation includes the spreading of the rooting fertilizer by the team of Gazonarabais.com. The watering of the new lawn starts as soon as the installers leave the site. The customer must ensure that he has the required equipment before installation.
    • The customer ensures that during the 2 weeks following the installation, the grass is watered morning and evening very abundantly. At a minimum, the soil should be kept moist to a depth of 2 inches during this time. For the next 2 weeks, watering is at least once a day. All for a period of 4 weeks. In hot weather, the client makes sure to water the grass to a depth of 2 inches during this period.
    • The first mowing is carried out 1 to 2 weeks after the installation of the turf, taking care to always respect the rule of 1/3 (never to mow more than 1/3 of the leaf). Subsequently, it is recommended to maintain a height of 3 inches. In the fall and spring, mowing at 2 inches is optimal. In times of drought, longer mowing (4 inches) is recommended. In periods of prolonged heat wave, while turf is dormant, it is best to avoid mowing completely.
    • The customer buys a seasonal fertilizer treatment with Gazonarabais.com.
    • The application of the first seasonal fertilizer treatment is carried out 3 weeks after installation. The following treatments are then applied every 30 days. The fertilizer should be applied before a rain or you should water your grass thoroughly after applying the fertilizer, as there is a high concentration of nitrogen.

The following conditions are excluded from product and service warranties:

  • Grass is exposed to excrement or animal urine;
  • Grass is damaged by other work done on the terrain (trampling of workers, machinery, etc.);
  • Turf is not exposed to at least 8 hours of sunshine OR 4 hours of sunshine for Shade and Fescue variety.
  • Fertilizer is purchased elsewhere than from Gazonarabais.com;
  • Grass is over-exposed to water (excessive watering)
  • In the event that the buyer considers that a product delivered does not meet his expectations, he must immediately contact Gazonarabais.com (upon receipt of the product). Gazonarabais.com will assess the demand and any problems with its specialists. Photos may be requested in order to carry out an assessment.
  • Gazonarabais.com provides weed-free turf, but cannot fully guarantee that weeds will not grow in the weeks following sod installation.
  • Gazonarabais.com uses top quality soil and disclaims all responsibility for the exact composition of it. For any questions or comments about this, please refer to our suppliers.
  • Discounted turf is not responsible for delays and schedule changes caused by factors beyond its control such as weather conditions, equipment breakdowns or other factors having force of action.
  • Discounted turf is not able to provide an accurate time of delivery. In terms of facilities, a team leader will contact the client in the hours prior to the arrival of the latter on your property.
  • During the installation, it is possible for the installation team to notice changes to be made to the work so that they can be properly executed (Example: there is a lack of soil so the terrain can be straight). These changes are rare and generally do not exceed 5-10% of the value of the work. These additions must be approved by the customer and will be added to the invoice by the seller. In the case of a refusal of additions by the customer, Gazonarabais.com can not guarantee a job performed properly.
  • The warranty on point 2.2 will not apply if the refused additions affect the rooting of the grass.
  • Any addition to the order by the customer, 48 hours before the date of delivery or installation, will be considered as a new order, with the delivery charges that may be attached thereto.
  • An installation report will be completed by the team leader at the end of the work, whether the client is present on site or not. This report will be sent to the client a few days after the work. This report will include: The installation date
    • The name of the team leader in charge 
    • A note indicating whether the customer keeps grass or topsoil leftovers
    • A note indicating the approval of the work by the client
    • Refusal, if any, of the client, of additions (topsoil, grass, etc.)
    • A note indicating if the customer waters at the departure of the team
    • Payment received or not and in which form
    • Post-installation photos
    • If the terrain is not ready on the team's arrival, a note indicating the reasons
    • Others, if needed
  • If the buyer deems that the installation does not meet his expectations, he must inform the team leader before the end of the work and make sure with him any changes to be made, if there is.
