The same day
The best practice is to install the sod as soon as it is delivered. This limits stress on the sod and promotes better recovery from the first hours.
We strongly recommend installing sod immediately after delivery. If this is not possible, make sure it is laid within a maximum of 24 hours. In hot and dry weather, every hour counts: the longer the sod remains stacked, the more it risks heating up and deteriorating.
To maintain its freshness and rooting potential, roll-out sod should be installed immediately after delivery. If you cannot do everything on the same day, plan to finish the work no later than the next day. The faster you act, the better your chances of getting a dense, green, and healthy lawn.
Roll-out sod is a living product. After harvesting and delivery, it must be installed quickly to prevent it from heating, drying out, or losing its vigor, especially during hot and dry summer days.

During hot and dry periods, the sod must be harvested, delivered, and installed very quickly. In extreme heat, waiting can compromise its quality.
During summer, the inside of a pallet of sod rolls can become extremely hot in a very short time. This heat accumulation can kill the sod. If you are unable to install it immediately after delivery, we strongly recommend unstacking the rolls to limit the temperature rise.
When not everything can be laid immediately, it is important to act correctly to protect the sod until the end of the installation.
If laying must be delayed, avoid leaving the sod stacked for too long, especially in the sun. Unstacking the rolls helps reduce the heat accumulated inside the pallet.
Even if you start the work on the day of delivery, make sure to complete the installation no later than the next day to preserve the quality of the sod.
Do not water the sod until it is installed. However, watering must begin as soon as the rolls are laid, and as the installation progresses.
