Would you like to know when to water your new lawn?

Watering times

It is best to water in the morning or late afternoon, except when installing the rolls of sod. The best times in a day to water are between 4 and 10 a.m. and after 6 p.m. However, check whether your municipality issues permits for this purpose.

Watering tips from the pros

The inside of a pallet of sod becomes extremely hot in the summer, and very quickly, which could kill the grass. If you are installing your new sod yourself, watering should be started as the rolls of sod are installed.

To check the effectiveness of the watering, lift the corner of a roll of sod to see if the water has wet the soil underneath.
